Winter Poems and Pictures

Before the big blizzard of 2011 hit Arlington Heights, our class wrote winter poems using our five senses. Students worked in small groups to capture photos outside on the playground one winter day. Here is Annie's poem:

Winter is white.
It tastes like soft marshmallows.
It sounds like the"WOOSH!" of sleds.
It smells like warm cocoa.
It looks like snow covered trees.
It makes me feel warm inside.
